This book is designed to be a living document. As the role evolves and each new data scientist learns more, knowledge should be captured and documented. This approach then is to create something that can continue to exist and grow. Additionally, hand-off documents should be written once and updated constantly. Rather than recreate something each time, planting the tree and then maintaining it is much easier to do.
