3.4 Thoughts and Considerations

It is very important to understand the data generating process. I encourage you to meet with the data owner and data stewards to understand how data actually enters their system. You might find that there are some issues or biases that introduced (e.g. multiple walk in a building even though one student badges in to open the door. This results in under estimating how many people are together at a time). It is good to explore these processes first hand and think through these items so that you understand what is happening.
