Homecoming weekend typically kicks off with the chapter throwing a tailgate party for actives, pledges and alumni of Sigma Nu, (which is open to the general public). At the tailgate, members are given a chance to catch up with their older brothers who have graduated and moved ahead in their lives. This is a great networking opportunity for active members.

After the football game, alumni will usually go out to dinner with the actives to spend time before the big homecoming party. At the homecoming party, alumni are given a chance to step back in time to their "glory days" of college life.

The weekend is followed to a close by a homecoming dance. This semi-formal dance is a relaxing atmosphere where brothers and their dates can have a good time.
