Barry Horewitch - Head Coach/Forwards Coach
Barry Horewitch began his rugby in high school with the famed Lamorinda Rugby Club in northern California. There he learned from some of the top rugby coaches in the United States and played alongside the likes of current USA Eagles prop Mike MacDonald. Horewitch continued his rugby in college at Indiana University, leading his team to a Division I Sweet 16 appearance in 2003 and playing with the Midwest Thunderbirds Collegiate All-Star side.
Horewitch came to Wake Forest as an assistant coach in the fall of 2006 when he began law school at the University. A hooker by trade, Horewitch worked mainly with the forwards, improving the team's set pieces exponentially and helping to develop a more structured pattern of forward play. Horewitch now takes over the head coaching reins and will remain at the helm through at least the spring of 2009.
