Bios:
Maredith Waterer is a senior English major and History minor from Winston-Salem, NC. She spends most of her time napping, working out, procrastinating with friends, eating, making lists, reading, skipping astronomy, staying up too late, and discussing the esoteric nonsense reserved only for liberal arts students (yay Wake!). She loves anything that involves ice cream, C.S. Lewis, infallible rhetoric, Explosions in the Sky, Mexican cuisine, and good movies. One of her favorite passages is Philippians 4:4-8.
Rebekah Reimer is a senior from Fort Worth, Texas majoring in Anthropology and minoring in History. On campus, she likes to be involved at Wake in a variety of things, like her sorority, football games, and Emmaus, where she is currently serving as a student intern. She also loves eating Mexican food, being outdoors, playing cards, and beating Kelsey at Catchpharase. Rebekah's favorite verse is Hebrews 12:1-2.
Kelsey Paul is a senior from East Fallowfield, PA. She is majoring in Spanish with a minor in linguistics. This year she is doing internships to receive certificates in Spanish translating and interpreting. Her favorite class at Wake is Social Dance, where she is working on the perfect tango stance. She loves cheering on the Deacs as an avid member of the Screamin' Demons student section. Kelsey is our unofficial photographer, and records all of our awesome singing, laughing and playing moments. This year she's relying a lot on Jeremiah 29:11, as she tries to figure out the Lord's plans for her as graduation creeps closer. She feels blessed to share her college experience with such wonderful friends and sisters in Christ.
Corinne Taylor is a senior from Havertown, Pennsylvania. She loves the Philadelphia Eagles, Coldplay, Davis Field, bodies of water, La Caretta, and Sunset Beach, NC. She is majoring in Elementary Education and is excited for student teaching this semester. One of Corinne’s favorite verses is Romans 8: 38-39: “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Eva Skipper is a senior from Raleigh, NC, and she is majoring in Psychology. Hillsong, Sufjan Stevens, and Hanson are on the top of her playlist, and you can probably find her singing along in her car with the windows down. And she loves all things Narnia. Also, Eva is our out-of-this-world percussionist, creating little drum sounds with only her mouth!
Kathryn Rohreris a junior from Richmond, Virginia. She takes joy in constantly singing and dancing, taking walks, eating mint chocolate chip ice cream, playing the piano and the Carillon, visiting random parks, and sending time with RUF, her family, and her Lord and Savior Jesus. A verse that encourages her daily is Psalm 73:26. “My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”
Lauren Kelly is a native of Houston, Tx and is majoring in Psychology. This junior girl loves mountains, hiking, coke, coffee, singing (duh), traveling, camping, and her amazing friends and family :)
"Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the Lord will be praised." Proverbs 31:30
Della Hinman, was born and reared in the great metropolis of Winston-Salem and has been a proud Demon Deacon all of her life. She is in her junior year and studying English and music and is currently abroad in Venice, Italy! She loves photography, traveling, writing, working with kids, and singing! Jeremiah 29:11 says ‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you; plans to give you hope and a future.'
Kate Lesnewich is a junior from New Providence, NJ. She can usually be found with some sort of ice cream dancing around and singing when she is not studying. Kate loves her little hometown in the beautiful state of New Jersey and will be happy to show anyone around who doesn't believe her. The verse that has meant the most to Kate is Isaiah 40:30-31. " Even youth grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall, but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength."
Megan Paul is a sophomore from East Fallowfield, PA. Her loves include singing, ping-pong, speaking in accents, pecan pie, thunderstorms, skiing, and falling asleep in hammocks. She feels so blessed to be surrounded by such an amazing group of girls. She is encouraged and guided in her daily life by James 1.
Nancy Davidson is a sophomore from Randleman, North Carolina. She graduated as the salutatorian of her class at Randleman High School. She enjoys playing volleyball, singing, and dancing. She also loves Wake Forest sporting events! Nancy plans on majoring in Health and Exercise Science and also hopes to study abroad during her 4 years at Wake. Nancy would like to thank her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for everything in her life.
Kathryn Peacock is a sophomore from Augusta, Georgia. Kathryn is majoring in health and exercise science. She loves to sing, play tennis, run, swim, watch college football and basketball, volunteer, and babysit. Kathryn is so thankful for all of the wonderful blessings that God has given her, especially Minor Variation, which she views as an answer to her prayers. She says that her goal and purpose in life is to serve and to glorify God in everything she does, always giving her best in everything she undertakes. Her favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4:4-7.
Erin Devine is a sophomore from Pittsburgh, PA (but will actually be relocating to Cary, NC!). She has no clue what she'd like to major in yet, but is already working towards a music minor. Next year, she plans on studying abroad in either Ireland or France. She thanks God for all of the wonderful opportunities He has already brought into her new life here at Wake, the best one being Minor Variation. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths
straight. Proverbs 3:5-6
