Reading is Fundamental- Reading Is Fundamental, Inc. (RIF), works to build a literate nation by helping young people discover the joy of reading.  RIF's highest priority is to serve the nation's under-served children and families through the development and delivery of literacy programs and campaigns that motivate youth to read regularly.

Queen for a Day- Our very own Liz Nurmi has been instrumental in orchestrating Queen for a Day, an event where Kappas visit terminally ill children and make them ‘Queens for a Day’.  We paint nails, play games, dress up, and hang out with these wonderful children at Brenner Children’s Hospital
