Although Kappa Delta prides itself in our academic achievement and campus leadership, we definitely know how to have a good time! Our social calendar is always packed with date functions and social events such as our annual Stoplight Party, Toga Party, Birthday Party, which celebrates our founding, and socials with various themes, including Shipwrecked, the Hamptons, Pink Panic, the roaring 20’s and KD Hayride in past semesters. Our “My-Tie” date function is held in the spring, where sisters set each other up on blind dates; the sister wears her date’s tie on the night of the function, and he reveals himself to her as her date by finding the sister wearing his tie. We also hold our “Beaux and Belles” formal in the fall, where sisters have fun dancing the night away with their dates in their formal wear, in settings such as the Piedmont Club and SECA in years past. Kappa Deltas are involved everywhere on campus, and our social lives are no exception! We enjoy getting together with fraternities, sororities and other campus organizations to enjoy some of the best social spots in Winston-Salem.
