In the Fall of 1999, Devin Huggins and current member Danielle Binder decided to start the first ever co-ed a cappella group at Wake Forest University. The new members spent much of the first meeting coming up with a name. They tossed around ideas ranging from the stupid- "RealPlayers" to the abhorrent- "Freakin Dongles" (knowing what a dongle is only makes it worse). It was Bill Moffett who suggested naming the group "Innuendo", which most people seemed to like, except Lauren, who agreed to it only because she thought Bill was cute. Innuendo was born. Innuendo performed just one concert that first year: then half of the group graduated. Determined to continue, Innuendo started recruiting heavily- and thus Danielle's obsession with freshman boys begins. Among the new acquisitions in 2000- a former child star, a future Innuendo president, and a replacement crush for Lauren (Will Perry). Innuendo performs more than twice the amount of times they did the first year, and they begin to build a name on campus. Lets Face it, size DOES matter. So, after losing one graduate in '01, Innuendo decided to accept 5934 new members, bringing the new total to 20394209384. We just can't reject a pretty face, so we added six of them. Ok fine, seven- we also welcomed Ben "he can do amazing things with his mouth" Alston as a vocal percussionist. Ben had made guest appearances in the past, but decided he wanted to spit all over us full time. Innuendo was large and possibly even in charge. We performed on and off campus all over the place, our Second Annual Big Fat Concert was truly big, and in order to spend more time together- we decided to record our first CD! (which you can buy on THIS website!) Two long and scandalous recording sessions at the Binder house in Raleigh and in Polo 331, and the amazing talents of Derek West combined to make Inception, our first and incredibly fabulous CD, which, did we mention, is available on THIS website! *NEED CURRENT INNUENDO INFORMATION* |
