Public Forum $50.00 per team of two

Lincoln-Douglas:

$45.00 per debater.

Congress:

$25.00 per entrant.

Individual Events:

$20.00 per slot.

Duo-Interpretation

$30.00 per team

DROP FEES: A drop fee will be assessed for all drops after Wednesday, September 13 (after 5:00 p.m.). For late drops in Team Debate and Lincoln-Douglas Debate the full fee will be assessed as if the contestant were entered. Late I. E. drops are $5.00 each event entered/per student. An even bigger problem is dropped judges. For Debate, L-D and IEs, after 5:00 Wed. a drop fee of $50.00.
AWARDS: We offer more than 250 high quality awards. All debate and L-D elim participants will receive awards, as will semi-finalists and finalists in individual events (certificates for Q-F of IEs; Some Congress awards). Speaker awards will also be given in team debate. Six tournament sweepstakes awards will be presented to the schools earning the most points according to the following formula:

Each debate team advancing to eliminations

10 points.

Each I. E. advancing to semi-finals

5 points

Each I.E. advancing to quarter-finals

3 points

Lincoln-Douglas-advancing to elimination

5 points

Congress participants advancing to Super Congress

5 points

 

GENERAL LOGISTICS: Tournament hotels, North Forsyth High School, and Mount Tabor High School are all ten minutes or less from Wake Forest. Preliminary rounds in Individual Events and Lincoln-Douglas debate will be held at North Forsyth, Team debate will be at Mt. Tabor HS (Var) and at Wake Forest (JV & Public). Congress will be at North Forsyth HS. All elimination rounds in events will be held at Wake Forest (Debate, Annenberg Forum, Carswell Hall, I.E. & L-D, 3rd floor Foyer Benson Center). Registration is on the Wake Forest campus (Annenberg Forum, 111 Carswell Hall). Weather permitting, registration will be in the tent on the lower quad.

The North Forsyth and Mount Tabor Parent's Associations will provide food service for students at that site for a nominal fee. Coaches will be provided a work/reception room with some food provided. This will lessen the inconvenience of leaving the High School campuses campus for lunch or dinner breaks.

Cafeteria and fast food facilities are available on the main campus level 1 of the Benson Center and in the ground floor of Reynolda Hall (Since it is Sunday, it does not open until 10:00 am, however. The regular food court in Reynolda Hall next door is open early).
