1. As black you already have a slight edge in material. Here's a way to exploit it: ...Q-A1
Now the white king must make his way to D2 (C2 results in B-A4 and D2 is forced)
From here black can further pressure the white king by advancing a pawn to C3.
White must capture, for if he does not and instead moves the king to E1 or E2, Q-D1 mate.
If white captures with his Q he loses it. P-C3, QXP, N-E4 and the king and queen are forked.
Therefore white must capture with his knight which relieves the pressure on black and allows him to increase his lead in
material via his knight taking the rook on the D file.
