CIT, December 14, 1998

Present at the meeting: Channing, Dominick, Evans, Matthews, McCartney, McCray, Pendergraft, Tedford, Titus, Wicker.

Gordon McCray presided over a discussion of course shells. He outlined the procedures followed by the Course Shells Subcommittee during the past semester to assess requirements and to sample and evaluate products. Jay Dominick asked that WFU officially pilot only one product in the interest of technical support considerations.

A vote was taken, resulting in the selection of CourseInfo to be pilot tested during the Spring 1999 semester. Faculty members who might participate in the pilot program will be contacted as soon as possible. Training sessions for participants will be scheduled for January 7 and 8, 1999.

Rob McCartney and Gordon McCray will continue to follow up on other course shell possibilities, with the understanding that if there are significant product developments, the CIT will be informed.
