A Long History of Service at Wake Forest
The Kappa Theta Chapter of Alpha Phi Omega at Wake Forest College was chartered on May 14, 1952. The first five members of the organization originally met in the fall of 1951 to discuss the possibility of forming a fraternity of men who had past scouting experience. With the help of the Rho Chapter at the University of North Carolina, the Kappa Theta Chapter became a reality.
The Kappa Theta Chapter is a part of Section 79 in North Carolina, which is included in Region III nationally. Visit the links page for more information.

National History
Alpha Phi Omega was first chartered in 1925 by Frank Reed Horton at Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania. Having served bravely in World War I, and having enjoyed a long career as a Scout, Horton wanted to continue to serve his college, community, and country. He and fellow Scouts organized a fraternity that would foster friendship, leadership, and service to others for years to come. Since 1925, hundreds of chapters have been issued charters, and APO has become a worldwide organization, with chapters not only in the United States, but also in Canada, Australia, and the Philipines.

Future Goals
Alpha Phi Omega takes pride in the service that it provides for others, and seeks to expand its reach and membership. If you are interested in learning more about Alpha Phi Omega, you can contact any of the officers listed on subsequent pages here, or visit the APO National website at www.APO.org
